The lift in Gwynne House was broken from 15th October 2021 to 17th December 2021. Residents deserve compensation. This seriously affected people
Residents were initially offered a derisory amount of compensation. Bell, our MP, thinks this isn’t enough
Following a meeting with Bell in June MTVH agreed to increase their offer to £50. We’re deciding whether or not to accept that.
Our campaign was featured in SW Londonder
Bell, helped chase MTVH to fix the lift and has also chased MTVH for compensation for residents. Residents in Williams House got £250 compensation when their lift broke, Gwynne House should get compensation too.
The lack of lift affected lots of people. One person we met had to cart their bike up six flights of steps. Another said “I am disabled sometimes I couldn’t go out because of this”
Everyone in Gwynne House pays for the lift in their rent or service charge. Everyone deserves a good service.
