Thanks to everyone who came to our party on 11th December. Despite the rain, residents came out to enjoy live music, home cooked food, and most importantly each other’s company.
There were live performances from Some Voices Choir and Brass Roots Brass Band
We had more nice feedback from neighbours who watched and listened from their windows. We should have offered a delivery service of all the delicious food
The day after a neighbour stopped to say she listened from inside and it made her cry. She got teary talking about it.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for organising the Challice Way party last weekend” said another resident “It was really great. Music was amazing and it was lovely to chat to neighbours and meet new people. Lots of smiles, despite the rain.”
Also, huge thanks to Saleha, who ended up doing the curry all by herself, as her cooking volunteers did not materialise. Massive work for one lady.
And… it was Saleha’s birthday. Happy birthday Saleha, and thank you for choosing to spend it with us, and help out so significantly.
