I landed on this estate in 1980. It was a slowly declining dump of a place back then, going down year on year. But now? Now it’s on an upward trajectory. What happened? People got involved. People stood up! People were heard. People wanted to make their homes better and improve their community. A TRA was formed. This has caused the landlords to carry out long overdue repairs. We got the main man – head of Metropolitan nationwide, no less – to visit the estate in 2015 with a large entourage. Metropolitan, at last, has started taking St. Martin’s seriously
