High Trees Community Development Trust was established in 1998, three local residents led the campaign to ensure that the old and derelict St Martins Library was used as a community resource as part of the stock transfer from Lambeth Council to three housing associations.
Today High Trees is a multipurpose community facility offering personal and skills development courses and employment support for communities in Lambeth and further afield and activities for the children, young people and families in these communities.
The vision of High Trees is to facilitate the empowerment, growth and development of people and communities, whilst supporting people to play an active and creative role in the economic and social life of communities
This is an exciting time for the organization as they work to secure sustainability for the Charity and the much needed services it provides. They are currently looking for a number of new Trustees with a range of skills to join our Board.
