Leaseholders Have Buildings Insurance

A reminder that leaseholders on our estate have buildings insurance. This should cover some costs.

Being part of the residents association means being part of a community of people who wants to change things for the better.

It also has its advantages: when my walls in the bathroom came down (tiles and all) because of a leak, I was a bit lost on what to do.

My residents association colleagues first and then the Director of property at Metropolitan informed me that we have building insurance. Through that I was able to claim and save almost a thousand pound

(Although I did have £250 excess fee)

So if you are a leaseholder with MTVH, remember to check your building insurance, as you could claim repair costs. We believe there’s a similar arrangement with NHG and Optivo leaseholders.
