Lambeth Council have confirmed they are not withdrawing a threat of enforcement action about damp
In a letter to Optivo on 19th March the council said “fundamentally you are still in the ‘discovery’ phase of the work, i.e. still identifying what the issues are, even though we are a long way down the road from when this was highlighted as a major issue by the residents at Full Council in July 2019”. As we don’t yet know what their proposals are “the Council is not in a position where it can categorically state that enforcement will not be used”.
Similar letters have been sent to NHG and MTVH
We have been promised the Housing Associations will publish and share investment plans by June. And with this threat of enforcement action hanging over them they might actually meet this deadline
