Last Saturday four brave St.Martins Residents went on a walkabout on the estate to look for possible areas for gardening and regeneration. We selected two areas:- a big area between Roupell road and Christchurch road, and a small area near Abbots park.
Incredible Edible Lambeth is helping us apply for funds and we hope to get started soon with some bulb planting in the smaller area, whereas for the Roupell Road area we will start with consultation to understand what local people want.
Our Housing association Metropolitan Thames Valley will support this project and we are waiting for some funding, but we need some local volunteers.
Would you like to help? You can help us with planning the work, or just turn up on the day for some planting and gardening work.
