Let us know you’re coming
This fun, energetic course introduces you to some key skills in Community Organising.
Community Organising is the work of bringing people together to take action around their common concerns and overcome social injustice. Community Organisers reach out and listen, connect and motivate people to build their collective power.
Our one-day training course introduces you to the core foundations of community organising – genuine, effective listening which sparks dialogue and explores motivations, an analysis of power in the community and how to build it, and an exploration of how to organise and motivate people to take effective action together to address common concerns.
This training session is run by High Trees Community Development Trust Social Action Hub and supported by Community Organising Ltd.
This course is approved as quality training provision by Certa and as Professional Development by CPD. Certification for this can be achieved through the completion of a short “learning log” at the end of the course.
Further one-day courses will be available focusing on specific aspects of the community organising process. We will also be running an accredited Award level 2/3 course in Community Organising for those who want to go even deeper into the theory and practice of community organising.
