17 residents attended the TRA General Meeting on 24 September, to raise issues with our local councillors and discuss matters relating to the Estate and the TRA. Residents are concerned about the displacement of residents after the fire at Worthington House, and related support for residents; parking issues around the Community Centre; and leaseholder service charge issues.
Cllr Isaacs undertook to follow up on discussions, and informed attendees that Lambeth Council are going ahead with parking restrictions on roads outside the Estate, including the High Trees road. Terry Curtis, Chair of the TRA, told the meeting that detail regarding the parking scheme proposed by the Housing Associations remains outstanding.
The meeting showed the value of bringing residents, TRA committee members and local councillors together on a regular basis to address local issues, and plans are in place to make it a recurrent event.
