Gardening News

The team at St Martin’s Shed, at our local Community Centre, have very kindly made a bench for the community garden on Challice Way, for residents to enjoy. It’s wonderful and hugely appreciated by our community gardening team. It was unveiled on 21st May, with snacks and drinks. We were delighted to be joined by friends and neighbours from St Martin’s and the Community Centre and by Cllr Jeremy Isaacs, who joined in enthusiastically with the unveiling fun and captured it on his instagram!

MTVH have made a lovely addition to the green space on Challice Way — a mini wildflower meadow beside Gwynne House, with two bug hotels. Great for the environment and the meadow is starting to look very colourful. You can see it here, on our own community gardening instagram.

If anyone would like to get involved in community gardening on St Martin’s please let us know, by emailing stmartinscommunitygarden@gmail.com — there’s always watering and maintenance to be done, and we have plans for further developing Huggins Corner!
