We have evicted the occupants from the Yellow Qube. They were a youth club that wasn’t providing any youth services! Lets hope we’ll get a better provider in 2025
Lambeth Council says “We are delighted to announce that Lambeth Council is now back in receipt of the vacant Yellow Qube building on Christchurch Road, following interventions by Lambeth against the previous occupants who had stopped running services after Covid. This means that the council will now be able to tender for a new operator of high-quality youth facilities, and have committed to involving the local community in this process. This outcome is the result of years of campaigning by St Martin’s TRA, local Labour councillors, Olga and Saleha, and lots of hard work by cabinet member for community safety, Cllr Mahammad Hashi, and Lambeth officers. We can’t wait to see this crucial resource back in use”

We now need a proper consultation to ensure that the new provider gives services that reflects the needs of local people. Add your story here. We will be pushing the council to do that early this year.
