Motorcyclists on the Challice Way Pavement

Thanks to everyone who’s contacted us about motorcyclists using the pavement between Challice Way and the South Circular. We’ll be discussing this at the Safer Neighbourhoods Meeting on the afternoon of Thursday 26th September

This issue is being led by our local Safer Neighbourhood group, working with theMetropolitan Police. If you have any thoughts on this issue please contact the team or contact your councillors. Or, even better, come to the next police liaison meeting

The Safer Neighbourhoods group is a means for the local community to meet with local police to determine local priorities. The more active the community the more that police priorities will reflect those of the community

In October 2023 the police agreed to make this a ward priority. They told us in August 2024 “Any mopeds we have seen on the pavement have been spoken to”. Please report any sightings of motorcyclists on the pavement to local Cllr Jaffer on sjaffer@lambeth.gov.uk rather than reporting it to the local police. It’s likely to get higher priority that way.

At the police liaison meeting in March 2024 NHG agreed to put in bollards, later altered to planters, but did not agree a date

If you have any thoughts or concerns about this issue please come to the next police liaison meeting
