A year ago we started our community composting scheme. Our first batch of compost is now ready and our runner beans are loving it

We also saw this beetle in the main veg plot in Challice Way. Beetles love rotting wood so we have some lovely old cross sections of a tree that quietly decomposing and luring them. All these insects are attracting lots more birds and bats. It’s so lovely seeing how welcoming this place is for nature
