Motorcyclists on the Challice Way pavement

Residents disagree on the best way to stop the motorcyclists on the Challice Way pavement.  Please come to the meeting on Thursday 28th March to have your say

Several people have contacted us to say there is a problem with motorcyclists riding fast on the Challice Way pavement. This is a danger to pedestrians.

NHG wants to install gates like this to prevent it.

Marcos says the issue “happened before to me in some small alley – I don’t use to use a lot but I saw the risk”

Alex says she would not support prosecuting motorcyclists who use the pavement as she believes they are predominately low wage delivery drivers for companies such as Deliveroo.

Ed says he would welcome signs on the estate to remind people not to use motorbikes on the pavement. He would not support any gates or bollards if they obstruct the passage of people with prams or wheelchair users.  He does not believe pavement motorcyclists are primarily food delivery drivers

We probably won’t find a solution that will keep everyone happy.  So please come to the meeting to ensure your voice is heard
