General MeetingDemand Decent Youth Facilities

Tuesday 19th September, 7pm

Scout Hut on High Trees

(at the Upper Tulse Hill end opposite Sheppard House)

When City Heights secondary school was opened, a youth facility was provided by Christchurch Road for the youth of the neighbourhood. The facility, now called the Yellow Cube, was opened 2016 amidst much fanfare. It continued for a few years until it was closed, leaving youths with nowhere local to go. Esports Youth Club are now planning to run some events out of that space. Please come to discuss what events local young people need.

There’s also a football pitch as part of the Yellow Qube, but eSports Youth Club can’t run use it as it costs £60 an hour to hire. Please come to hear Cllr Hashi’s thoughts on how we can ensure our young people have access to the facilities they need.

There will be lots of time for discussion

Particular thanks to Cllr Saleha Jaffer for persuading Cllr Hashi to attend

It’s really important to get as many people as possible. Cllr Mahamad Hashi will have lots of groups asking for his time. So it’s important he sees we are a vibrant and well organised groups with lots of support. Please come, and please bring your (resident) friends.

We’ll be discussing our gardening and community composting projects and how you can get involved

There will be time for Any Other Business
