Emergency Financial Help

Cllr Mary Atkins has asked us to advertise this emergency financial help

The Covid-19 crisis has made life tough for everyone: in response, the council has allocated additional funding to our Emergency Support Scheme which can help residents through these challenging times.

The council can help with support for food and energy bills for Lambeth residents who are:

· experiencing financial hardship due to the impact of Covid-19, including where there are increased caring responsibilities or a financial impact due to self-isolation

· going through a crisis or an emergency

· being resettled into the community following a period in institutional or residential care or in need of support to prevent you entering institutional or residential care

The scheme supports residents on a low income who are claiming welfare benefits such as Universal Credit, Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support.

Residents can apply to the Emergency Support Scheme through the Lambeth Council website
