I’ve been trying to work slowly to develop the space at 357 Norwood Road by Tulse Hill Station (James Wilson’s). Hands up, this was my first attempt at creating a community space, I tried some things which were great, and some others which weren’t as great.
What still remains is my passion to have an open local space that is utilised by the local community, a space share, a hub, vibrant and welcoming which empowers local people and creates a space for people to share skills, develop new friendships and support one another locally
What help do I need? Well, I need to show the potential use of the space, and so I’m asking for your input in creating that
I’d like the venue to be offered for both free and paid events, workshops and gatherings etc, so if you’ve something up your sleeve that you think would benefit the community in some shape or fashion and just needed some space, please do let me know. Also if you have any ideas as to what could improve the space I would value your input; the potential is there to create the vision we want as a community.
If you would like to offer any of your time that would be amazing. We’re looking for those skilled in or passionate about community projects, community outreach / development, digital/graphic designers, events management, cafe management / local product sourcing, photography, social media managers, events managers, administrators, volunteer managers, funding managers, treasurer/ bookkeeper, shop floor assistants and interior / creative directors…..if it’s not on the list but you think your skills would be of use please get in touch.
It would be great if this space could be 100% “for the community – run by the community”. It has the potential to be fabulous, but again, does need your help to achieve this
