Lambeth Council is responsible for collecting the bins and the housing associations are responsible for providing the bins. This includes ensuring there are enough bins and the bins are in good condition.
If you are worried the housing associations are not providing enough bins or the bins are in poor condition please report it using the following links:
- Report a repair to Metropolitan (you’ll need an MTVH account)
- Report a repair to Notting Hill
- Report a Repair to Southern Housing
If you are worried the bins are not being collected please report it to the council.
If you want to get rid of an item of furniture in good condition then:
- Call a charity to collect it (for example British Heart Foundation, icollectclothes, debra ).
- Post details to a free ads website, for example Tulse Hill Forum Facebook page
- Post it on websites such as Freecycle, NextDoor, Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree. (You can also sell it using these website – only Freecycle is for Free only items)
If you need to get rid of an item of bulky waste (e.g. a piece of furniture that cannot be resold) please use Lambeth Council’s bulky waste scheme.
Please do not fly tip waste. If you are concerned about fly tipping done by someone else, please report it to Lambeth Council and to your landlord.
