Some residents have complained about the quality of MTVH cyclical works. We believe MTVH’s reply is misleading. They have now apologised.
In the reply to the complaints MTVH said “An inspection was completed by MTVH in August 2024 at the request of the St Martins Estate Tenant Resident Association (TRA). The inspections were carried out on the 30th August and 3rd September 2024”. Here is a copy of the report.
They also said “We received a response from the TRA on the 23rd of October which acknowledged that the issues had been highlighted and that the proposed corrective actions were satisfactory”. MTVH have now acknowledged that we said no such thing. They inferred that information, we did not say it explicitly. You can see their full reply below.
They also said “The original cyclical programme carried out by the previous contractor is out of the defect period”. MTVH has told us the defect period ended December 2023. So this means the final report on autumn 2024, and the subsequent works done as a result, was carried out after the end of the defect period.
We will discuss the residents’ association’s response at the next committee meeting. This is likely to take place in late June.
The full response we got from MTVH about the misleading information they gave about us reads: “I am sorry that you feel that the statement is misleading towards your organisation, this was not MTVH’s intention. It was a reasonable assumption, that when MTVH received confirmation from your organisation on the 23rd October 2024, thanking us for acknowledging the issues and proposing corrective actions, that you were satisfied with the actions being taken, please accept MTVH’s sincere apologies if this has caused upset.”
