Leaseholders billed for poor quality cyclical works

MTVH leaseholders are receiving bills for MTVH cyclical works. We believe many works are poor quality.

In particular, we are concerned about the quality of the work in 113 – 171 Abbots Park, 21 – 30 Gaywood Close, 52 – 75 Gaywood Close, 76 – 86 Gaywood Close, 98 – 121 Gaywood Close, Saunders House, Sheppard House, Roupell Road, Taylor House. Details here.

If you’ve received a bill please contact MTVH on
www.mtvh.co.uk/contact-us/homeowner-enquiry to ask for a breakdown of your costs. And please let us know what they say. One leaseholder said this enquiry was worth it as it showed she was being billed for scaffolding which was never used in her block.

At the Annual General Meeting in November we agreed “there is a general discontent with the quality of the works and the lack of communication from MTVH. Residents feel let down by MTVH”.

When the Leasehold Advisory Service visited our estate on 2019 they said “The work done by the landlord should be to a good standard.  If an independent professional says they are not that is grounds for a complaint”.

We will discuss the residents’ association’s response at the next committee meeting. This is likely to take place in late June.
