Why We Need Our Primary School

Here’s what having a local primary school campaign means to residents. Please support our campaign to keep Fenstanton School open

“I have twins in Fenstanton.  I am a single mother who came to London from South America.  Fenstanton is a perfect school as it is so close and so supportive of families who speak English as a Second Language”

“My three children went to the school.  Now my two grandchildren go to the school.  It is part of the community. I understand why people from outside of the estate go.  My grandchildren live in Forest Hill but prefer to go to Fenstanton as that is near Granny”

“I have worked at the school for a long time and has seen how it has changed, and changed for the better”

““I went to Fenstanton school over 45 years ago. It was there that I learned to read and write, and where I made friends from the estate that I still remain friends with today. I now have two degrees, a teaching qualification and an art diploma. The opportunity for a good early education locally cannot be underestimated and particularly amongst a population that is disadvantaged in so many ways (low income, poverty, poor housing etc)”

Are you a resident who wants Fenstanton to remain open. If so please contact us with your story
