Dear Ms Nairn,
I understand you are planning to rewire my block. I seek your reassurance that your contractors will be considerate if they need to add new wiring to my house.
In particular I ask that
- Any new wiring should go through communal areas (e.g. a communal roof) wherever possible.
- That any trunking in flats follows the existing contours of the room. Residents should not have to tolerate trunking that’s half way down a wall.

When NHG did similar work in High Trees they needed to run new wiring from the block fuse box to the fuse block of each individual flat. The result was often very ugly trunking

Do let us know if you get a response. And when NHG have done the work, do let us know if you’re happy with it. Please include pictures. If NHG does bad work we’ll be stronger if we campaign together to fix this. And if NHG does good work we can use this to force them to do a proper job in the flats in High Trees.
