A New Yellow Qube – But When?

Cllr Hashi told us the current, incompetent, provider of youth services at the Yellow Qube will be evicted. We’re still waiting for details of what the new provider will be.

Lambeth Council will consult will young people imminently on what services they want from the new provider. We think Lambeth Council will consult with adult residents sometime in July, but we haven’t got a confirmed date.

Lambeth Council says “We are currently finalising plans to gather the views of children and young people through a survey and focus groups to be held in schools and community venues following the half term break; and of our local voluntary and community sector organisations. The findings from these will then be shared with key stakeholders, including St Martin’s TRA and Ward Cllrs. This will be in an engagement meeting which will provide opportunities for further input taking account of the feedback from our young people”

We were originally promised a consultation meeting in April so this is a setback. But the issue is still moving forward. Thanks to Cllr Olga Fitzroy for chasing this. And we wouldn’t have got this far were it not for residents supporting our campaign.
