I notice you plan to replace the lifts in my block. I am most concerned that the new lift is reliable. Can you please tell me.
- What was the criteria used in the selection process by which you adjudged Guideline Lifts to be the most appropriate? What weighting was given to each consideration?
- I am most concerned that the new lift is reliable. Please reassure me reliability was a major consideration in choosing the preferred supplier.
- Is there an easily accessible stock of spare parts if this lift breaks down?
I look forward to hearing from you
Please send the email by Friday 16th February
SHG are replacing lifts in the following blocks
- Baldwin House
- Bell House
- Burnell House
- Hart House
- Maskall Close (37 – 56 only)
- Morrison House
- Portland House
- Roycroft Close (37 – 46 only)
Leaseholders have to pay for this work directly. Tenants pay for this work as part of their rent.
SHG have considered a large number of contractors to do this work but we’re not sure what criteria they’ve used to select the winning bidder. This is important as previous lifts have been unreliable and hard to source spare parts for. We don’t want this to happen for our new lift.
Leaseholders have the right to be consulted on this work. To my knowledge tenants don’t have a formal right to be consulted, but SHG should do so anyway. Everyone deserves a good quality lift that doesn’t break down.
