Discussion on lighting policy (Stephen)
Motion: “St Martins Residents Association notes that in 2023 only some residents of the estate were entitled to enter the ballot for free tickets to the Brockwell Live events. We believe all residents should be entitled to enter the ballot. We instruct the secretary to write to our two local councillors to express the view of this meeting. We also instruct the newly elected committee to campaign for this outcome in 2024”
Proposed amendments to our constitution
- Terry Curtis proposes to remove the first paragraph under General Meetings and replace it with “The committee shall meet regularly and no less than four times a year in addition to the Annual General Meeting. Committee meetings shall be open to any member of the Association wishing to attend who may speak but not vote.”
- Chris Blake proposes to remove the first paragraph under General Meetings and replace it with “In addition to the Annual General Meeting the Committee will call at least three general meetings per year which all members of the Association may attend”
Committee Elections
- The chair, secretary, treasurer and nine other committee members
- Cllr Saleha Jaffer will oversee the election of chair. The newly elected chair will oversee the other elections
The meeting shall take place according to our constitution.
If you wish to stand for a committee position you can propose yourself on the night. If you wish to stand for committee and cannot make the meeting please ask another resident to nominate you at the meeting.
