Red Robin Hedges for Morrison House

Morrison House will get new Red Robin hedges in the autumn. We need people to help look after them.

Back in March, our gardening team embarked on a wonderful project in the Morrison House back garden, planting two magnificent magnolias and an abundance of hedge trees. With the incredible support from Residents and the generous assistance of Southern Housing and their contractors, Chequers, we brought this vision to life.

Unfortunately, we recently faced a setback when these beautiful trees were unexpectedly cut down a few weeks ago. It was a heartbreaking incident, and we are still trying to find out who was responsible for this senseless action. However, in the midst of this unfortunate event, we have been blessed with a silver lining.

Southern Housing has graciously offered to replace the hedges with vibrant Red Robin Hedge Trees. These new trees will be planted in the coming autumn, ensuring the best chance of survival and growth. Once mature, they will reach an impressive height of up to 6ft, providing a delightful sight for all the Residents to enjoy.

We sincerely hope that residents continue to take pleasure in the remaining Magnolia tree, which stands as a testament to the beauty and resilience of nature. Furthermore, we would love to hear from you if you are interested in participating in more gardening activities in the near future. Your involvement and enthusiasm are essential in making our community thrive.
